Peekaboo Beans gives back

Peekaboo Beans is an amazing company that was founded by one dynamic woman in business, Traci Costa, who continues to support other women and mothers who both sell and use their products.  The goal is to foster PLAY… complete, uninhibited PLAY and GROWTH for as many children as they can by offering clothing that eases the struggles of both parent and child when it comes to dressing, and increases the childs comfort while playing.

Now imagine if you no longer had a place for your children to live in, to eat in, and especially, no-where to play in.  On May 16th, 2011 the Slave Lake Wildfire in northern Alberta caused the evacuation of the entire town of 7000 residents and the complete loss of hundreds of homes and all of their contents as well as many businesses, the police station, library and much more devastation in and around the town.   In many neighbourhoods, there was nothing to sift through to see what was salvageable – NOTHING was left but ashes.  Peekaboo Beans is doing their small part in the rebuilding of this town’s PLAY areas for adults and children alike.

From June 1st to June 14th, customers can bid on several SOLD OUT, RARE and VINTAGE auction items at http://www.32auctions.com/view_auction?id=peekaboogivesback&pwd=beans or by visiting www.32auctions.com and entering Auction ID: peekaboogivesback and Auction Password: beans  There, Peekaboo Beans fans will find many items that are hard or even IMPOSSIBLE to find anywhere else at the moment – and have a chance to bid, get a deal on some clothes AND of course, support the families who lost everything in the natural disaster in Slave Lake.

The rebuilding process will be long and arduous, but with the help of our entire great nation and its neighbours, we can help a town rise up from the ashes of its former town and become an even stronger, even better town for people to work and to raise their families in.  You can help too by purchasing on one of the auction items, or by donating to the Red Cross Alberta Wildfire Fund directly at www.redcross.ca  Happy bidding!!!
